"Bison"

 

Bison (aka Tatanka), Bovids of the Badlands. Bison are probably one of my most favorite animals to photograph. I should probably at some point add an entire page devoted to Bison. There is something very special about photographing a frosty Bison in January. It is hard to imagine what all they have to endure in the punishing winter temps of Yellowstone. Warmth, food, energy, the basic survival from being hunted is a daily struggle for these big beauties.
