A New Land
Yellowstone National Park
A new land not yet explored. I found myself down a trail that had always been closed due to dangerous ice conditions non winter. So either the sign was knocked down or the trail was open? Not sure but I decided to proceed on in at my comfort level. I thought, if it gets too dicey, I will just stop and go back. I had a couple scary moments when I could not navigate the depth of my next step. It is never a good feeling when you step and your foot/leg keeps going down without knowing where the bottom is. I did not go as far as I could have but I went as far as my spidy senses said too. Managed to pull this shot out of there. Sooo beautiful back in there. Photo © copyright by Laurie R. Martin.
