The Big Sur Keyhole

Every now and then I shoot a location and think... noooo you did not shoot this in the best way possible. I do love this image but I do think there are so many possibilities on how I could shoot this. When you photograph Big Sur for the first time, it is a lot to take in. I have isolated 4 places that I must shoot again. Burned in my mind of exactly where they are so it is easy to go back. Shooting this again in 2024. This particular spot is very hard to see and you need a very sturdy tripod and a long lens to reach this. I shot this with a 600mm and had to time the waves just right. Now, rethinking things, I have a new idea on how I want to shoot this. Excited to visit here later this year and try out a few new ideas. Photo © copyright by Laurie R. Martin.
