Birds on the Blue Ridge Parkway

In The Pines

North Carolina

I had to look this bird up to see what it was. I am not much of a birder with the exception of an Eagle but this guy was pretty cool. My research says it is a "Cedar Waxing" from the Bombycillidae family?!? Shot this in North Carolina in Blowing Rock at a mountain lake. I stayed out on a rock waiting on him to return. He circled back to this branch about once every 5 min. I have a bunch of images of him coming and going but this one was the best to show his pretty tail. Photo © copyright by Laurie R. Martin.
