Ice and Shadows

I think this is exactly the scene you need for a well composed black and white image. A great black and white landscape will show off light and shadow with a strong contrast between the two. I shot this in the early morning right when the sun was coming up and was able to catch the dark sky with the contrast of the steam clouds in the background.The sun provided enough light to cast the shadows off the trees.
