There is something so deeply special to me about the rainforest. This feels like home, home in my soul. This is where I spent my childhood with my mother. Just her and I hiking rainforest trails picking Blackberrys for pie. My Mother is from Washington State and we were here every year to hike the rainforest or Ruby Beach. I think there is no other place on earth that makes me feel more connected to my mother than here. She passed away in 2012 and when I am here, I can feel her all around me like she is right beside me walking with me. Deeply personal and just warms my soul. Photo © copyright by Laurie R. Martin.
