The sound of the water thrashing as it comes roaring down the river is just unreal. Snow melts at higher elevations creating an unusual amount of water in the lower river this year. I have stood on the same river frozen over and walked across it to get to an ice cave. Hard to believe it is the same river when it is not iced over. Photo © copyright by Laurie R. Martin.
