Umpqua National Forest early morning. Stunning views of the river with the early morning fog. As I get older, I find myself wanting to hike more with others. Friends and fellow photographers are fun to be around to collaborate with and laugh with. I also enjoy leading workshops but also love the company of the workshop participants. Forest areas alone as a female at times can feel a little scary. I am usually focused on the beauty of the hike and the environment but there are still at time the crazy thoughts of getting eaten by a bear, bumping into that Grizzly.
