The Drip

Yellowstone

In the backcountry of Yellowstone are Geothermal pools that put off incredible steam when little eruptions occur. These are sudden blast of hot water and steam. Those blast hit the local tress and stick to the last layer and freeze almost immediatly creating quite a build up. Having temps that stay close to 0 help to create these beautiful dripping ice structures. Photo © copyright by Laurie R. Martin.
