Coyote Camouflage
Yellowstone
Sweet little Coyote in the Bobby Sock trees in Yellowstone. This little guy is working the scene for his next meal. So fun to watch the hunt take place. He takes a few steps and listens carefully for any movement below the snow. If he hears something, he will turn his head with his ear facing the ground. The ears go forward and the tail sharpens. If there is a chance, he will leap and pounce into the snow in a dive trying to grab what is below. Usually a miss but still very fun to watch how hard he works for his meal.
