I do not usually get scared on a trail but this trail was a little dicey. Hiking alone is not always the best idea. I went to shoot the waterfalls here and a big winter snowstorm hit with frigid temps creating a lot of ice on the trail. Portions of the trail were very steep and so slick that I had to sit down and carefully scoot down. The trail got so bad I turned back and did not make it to the falls on this day. Decided to work with what I had and photograph the river on the hike out. Just gives me a reason to go back. Photo © copyright by Laurie R. Martin.
